Changing the Guard...Sticking with the ‘royal’ theme (and one for the little ones), the ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is free and takes place every other day in the winter months.

This can be a great spectacle and it never fails to impress my budding soldier (age 4!)  Combine it with a visit to the lovely children’s play area in St James Park ( just in front of the Palace and next to Wellington Barracks) and a trip on the underground, and the little ones couldn’t be happier!
