The sport of trampolining can be seen as a reflection of man’s desire to defy gravity. A spectacular sport that requires a top trampolinist to reach heights of 10 meters, whilst performing multiple somersaults and twists.
Trampolining is a sport in its own right. An Olympic discipline for
individual and synchronised trampolining. At a GymMark Accredited and
British Gymnastics registered club, such as Loughton Flyers
Trampolining Club, all participants will need to learn fundamental
skills and progressions before mastering new skills. Once the
fundamental skills are taught and mastered they can be incorporated
into more complex moves and the British Gymnastics competition
structure enables the trampolinist to compete from Club level to
National and International level. Trampolining provides many benefits
both physical and non-physical including body awareness, balance,
co-ordination, height/depth perception and consideration for others.
As well as developing independence, self image, self confidence and a
sense of achievement. Trampolining is a sport for all, open to pre,
primary and secondary school children as well as adults. The health
benefits are a good reason to start, but the fun and enjoyment of the
sport is a greater reason.
