Want to find out more? Aged between 5 and 65? Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, Senior Section or Leader? Rainbow Guides - Girls aged between 5- 7 years old Rainbows, our youngest members, follow a balanced and varied programme full of fun, friendship and simple challenges. They will sing, dance, explore, paint, stick, play games and enjoy activities indoors and out. Brownie Guides - Girls aged between 7 - 10 years old Throughout their Brownie Adventure, girls will complete challenges, gain interest badges, make new friends, develop their skills and confidence and have fun. They will experience a wide variety of exciting activities and be able to participate in events with other Brownies and Guides such as Brownie Adventure Days or District Fun Days. They may even be lucky enough to experience a Brownie Sleepover or residential Pack Holiday. Senior Section (Rangers, Young Leaders, Adult Leaders and D of E participants) - Girls and Young Women aged between 14 – 25 years From the age of 14 there are variety of options which allow individuals to develop themselves in a safe, stimulating and rewarding environment. A girl may decide to be a Young Leader and help at the local Brownie Pack or become a Ranger and meet in an organized group situation. Which ever route she takes she will learn about team work, share experiences, take responsibility, develop relationships and gain leadership skills. She will have the opportunity to gain qualifications, attend trainings, go on residential events, achieve the Queens Guide Award, work with the Scout Association and possibly enjoy an overseas experience. Adults – Women aged up to 65 Guiding is very flexible in it’s approach and recognizes the invaluable role that all supporting adults have in the organization. You may like to run your own Brownie Pack or Guide Unit and take advantage of all of the training opportunities and support afforded a new Adult Leader OR you could instead volunteer small amounts of time in helping to support a unit/pack. You could help with the shopping, be the treasurer, fundraiser or an extra pair of hands on trips and events for example. Whatever your role, Guiding is a very worthwhile rewarding and fun challenge to undertake.
